Riverside County is hosting a FREE, virtual Legal Ethics Update training for attorneys, presented by Riverside County Counsel, Gregory P. Priamos. The training is scheduled for October 21 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and will provide updates on ethical topics of particular relevance to attorneys who work in the public sector.
The presentation will include discussions on the responsibilities of an attorney as an officer of the court, professional responsibilities and conduct, and ethical principles for a public lawyer. Other topics covered will include:
- Rule 1.1-New State Bar Ethics Rules
- California Lawyers Assn. Formal Ethics opinion no. 2001-1
- Proposed formal opinion interim no. 14-001 Colleague Impairment 02/26/21
- Business & Professions Code Section 6068 (b)
As part of continuing legal education requirements, attendees can earn one-hour of MCLE credit for ethics, and there is no charge for enrollment.
